President Loh to Welcome Students Back to Campus

 
  Dr. Loh mingles with students during the Honors College social.
College Park, Md. -- Preparations are under way at the University of Maryland for the start of a new school year. More than 37,000 undergraduate and graduate students will head back to the classroom on Wednesday, August 31st -- with campus move-ins kicking off on Saturday, August 27.

President Wallace Loh, who became the university's 33rd president in November 2010, will help welcome new and returning students by participating in several back-to-school rituals.

New Student Move-in -- Dr. Loh will welcome new students and families in the residence halls.

(This event will be broadcast on UMTV in both Prince George's and Montgomery counties. On campus, you can watch UMTV on channel 38. Comcast customers can watch on Channel 73 in Prince George's County and on Channel 2 in Montgomery County. On Verizon, the event will be on Channel 40 in both counties.)

First Day of Classes -- Dr. Loh will greet new students and provide directions at one of several Locator Booths around campus.
