At UM: Commemorating Sculptures for Peace and Friendship

A sculpture by revered Chinese artist Meilin Han, 'Peace Tree,' will be unveiled October 24 at the University of Maryland to commemorate the 30th anniversary of U.S.-Chinese relations. The Beijing Returned Overseas Chinese Federation, in conjunction with the Consolidated Society of Chinese American Alumni Associations, makes the donation possible. 'Peace Tree' is one of three sculptures that will be dedicated in the U.S. between October 24 and 28 under this initiative. The locations of the other sculptures will be Hamilton, N.J. and Atlanta, Ga.
