Hiroyuki (Hiro) Iseki is an assistant professor with the Urban Studies and Planning Program and is a member of the research faculty for the National Center for Smart Growth.
Iseki is originally from the City of Takarazuka, Hyogo, Japan. He recently finished a case study in New Orleans on transit service privatization and regional coordination. Currently he is volunteering his expertise through GISCorps, gathering and mapping key geographic information to help humanitarian relief efforts in Japan in response to the March earthquake and tsunami. Iseki's work has been published in a range of transportation and planning journals including Transportation Research A: Policy and Practice, Transport Reviews, Journal of the Transportation Research Board, Journal of Public Transportation and Journal of Planning Education and Research.
